Rachel Ventura was one of three progressive democrats running for US Congress in Illinois to earn an endorsement from the Chicago Hub of the Sunrise Movement. The largely youth-led organization is focused on addressing the climate crisis in a way that does not pander to the fossil fuel industry. After a multi-step endorsement process, Sunrise released the following statement today, Dec. 10th:
Rachel Ventura earned the endorsement of Southwest Suburban Activists (SWSA) and community leader, Sherry Williams on Thursday, October 31st. SWSA released the endorsement for Ventura and 7 other candidates with the following statement:
Rachel Ventura earned the endorsement of West Suburban Democratic Socialists of America (WSDSA) on Sunday, October 13th. The chapter voted unanimously to endorse Ventura and will be discussing a national level endorsement through their internal process. The only other campaign that this DSA chapter has endorsed is Bernie Sanders for President. WSDSA posted the following statement on their Facebook page after the Sunday endorsement vote:

Progressives of Kane County (PKC), an Our Revolution affiliated organization, voted unanimously to support Rachel Ventura’s primary challenge to incumbent, Bill Foster.
